Welcome to the world of neurodiversity, where differences are celebrated. I'm Gill Featherstone, a passionate neurodiversity coach.

I help neurodiverse adults and teens reduce overwhelm, manage the demands of life and avoid or recover from burnout.

Through neuro-affirming strategies and strength-based techniques, I guide you towards unlocking your  full potential and reaching your goals, whether that be in work, school, health or living environment.

“"Working with Gill has truly been a transformative experience. From our first session, I immediately felt a sense of trust and understanding that allowed me to open up and explore areas of my life I had previously ignored or felt stuck in...My big takeaway is a feeling of greater clarity and prioritisation...I was paralysed until I started working with Gill."

- Emma

“Gill and I connected and I instantly knew she'd be able to help coach me through some difficult times...I have started to feel more comfortable being my 'natural' self and not masking so much...Honestly, brilliant...I would really recommend working with Gill.”

- Olivia

"Gill was so easy to get along with, I instantly felt connected with her and at ease. The coaching was gently guided and not forceful, with Gill thinking about what would be best for me all the way through the sessions. Gill has really helped me come to terms with my potential autism and helped me find ways to cope better..”

- Meg

What is coaching?

A coach helps individuals to overcome specific challenges through in depth discussion, goal setting and accountability. It's all about identifying and achieving your specific objectives, whilst exploring and resolving personal problems or conflicts.

How is coaching different to therapy or counselling?

Coaching is different to therapy and counselling - whilst it incorporates some of the reflection and deep exploration of therapy it focuses much more on the 'here and now' and takes a strength based approach, and the power of positive psychology, to create goals and move forward.  We'll also do a lot of mindset work and incorporate methods such as mindfulness, movement & sensory strategies where appropriate.

Why be coached?...

Would you or your child like to learn more about the neuroscience behind autism or ADHD to better understand yourself?

Would you like to effectively communicate your needs in various settings, such as at work, school, or in personal relationships?  Would you like others to understand you better?

Are you seeking support in exploring potential career paths that align with your strengths and interests?

Have you experienced challenges in school, college, uni or the workplace related to your neurodiversity, such as difficulty with organisation or time management?

Do you struggle with stress, anxiety, or sensory issues in your daily life?

Are you interested in learning coping strategies to navigate social situations and build emotional resilience?

Are you facing a significant life transition, such as starting college, a new job, or relocating to a new area?

Would you benefit from support in setting both short-term and long-term goals that align with your values and aspirations?

Would you like to develop a healthier lifestyle or diet?

Would you like to have more fun and enjoy things a little?

These are just some of the things I've recently helped clients with and could help you with too!

Get to know me

I'm Gill, and I have three children, one of whom is autistic. I also self-identify as neurodiverse.

Finding ways to support neurodiverse individuals and their families has been a central focus of my training and I am a certified Holistic Life Coach and Mind Body Practitioner as well as having a Post Graduate Certificate in Mental Health in Education. I'm currently deep in the throes of studying towards my certification in Neurodiversity Life Coaching. For the past two years I have volunteered as a coach to young people through the charity Yes Futures and I've run an education/social research consultancy service for the past 10 years.

For those requiring face-to-face sessions I am based in Reading. Note that I am happy to liaise with schools where virtual coaching needs to be delivered during school hours.
